dms Organization Ltd. is a business conglomerate engaged in the financial services, real estate and media industries. dms provides marketing, finance, human resources, information technology, and operations services to all subsidiaries.
The History
1996
- Don Seymour (current dms President) returns to the Cayman Islands to work in the Cayman office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Price Waterhouse) after four years of employment as a consultant in their New York City office.
- Upon returning to the island, Don invested in Chelsea’s Sports Bar, the first company which would later become part of the dms conglomerate. Today, it is known as The Attic and is one of Cayman’s finest billiard lounges.
1998
- Following two profitable years owning part of Chelsea’s Sports Bar, Don bought out his partner’s share and invested in Cayman Pool and Spa, a swimming pool service provider, which was later renamed PoolWorld, a dms company.
- Cayman Pool and Spa won a number of large projects including the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Rosehall, Jamaica and The Pinnacle in Grand Cayman.
- Following the success of The Attic and PoolWorld, Don used the profits to acquire a franchise of The Athlete’s Foot in partnership with Naul Bodden. Don later acquired his partner’s interests in the business.
- Don left his accountancy job at PricewaterhouseCoopers to join the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) where he was employed to set up the organization’s first investment services division.
1999
- While at CIMA, Don decided to return to his roots and utilize his financial services expertise, focusing on hedge funds. He set up an accounting services company called Business Solutions which he ran after finishing his working day at CIMA. Business Solutions started to grow.

- The O Bar opened next door to The Attic and is regarded as Cayman’s premier nightclub.
2005
2006

In March 2006, Ignition Cayman was launched in partnership with Graham Pearson. Ignition is an offshore IT Service Provider with offices in Bermuda, Atlanta, and Halifax.
- In May 2006, dms sold PoolWorld to Pool Patrol as part of the evolving dms strategy to reduce exposure in the retail industry and increase dms investments in real estate and media.
- In June 2006, dms Broadcasting launched Cayman’s new rock music station, 96.5 CAYROCK.
- In July 2006, dms sold The Attic and leased The O Bar to local businessman Joe DeFilippo.
2007
